Travis Tomaszkiewicz- Founder and President
Martial Arts Background- Trained in Okinawan Goju Ryu beginning in January 2001 in the Sho Rei Shobu Kan Organization under Sensei Rod Williams in Council Bluffs IA. Since then he has had the privilege of training with Shihan John Roseberry at his dojo in Lincoln Nebraska, and began teaching in the Council Bluffs dojo in 2007 when he was allowed to lead his first class under supervision. Travis currently holds the rank of 4th Degree black belt within the organization.

Military Background- Enlisted in the United States Navy in 2011 as an Undesignated Seaman being stationed in Deck Division onboard USS Truxtun DDG-103, meeting the ship on her first deployment. In late 2012 Travis struck rate as a Gunner’s Mate remaining aboard Truxtun for his second and final deployment in 2014. During that second deployment Travis worked with allied navies and their personnel from Jordan, Romania, and Bulgaria, as well as providing overwatch for the ship’s Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure team from the ship’s MK38 Mod2 weapon console resulting in the successful interdiction of drugs and weapons being smuggled from Yemen into Africa. Travis received an honorable discharge and separated from the USN in 2015 to return home to family and friends.

Shihan John Roseberry- The late Shihan Roseberry is posthostumously accepted into the Veteran’s Combat Center. Shihan Roseberry was a 10th Degree Black Belt in Goju Ryu Karate, 8th Degree Black Belt in Judo and olympian Judo-ka, 5th Degree Black Belt in Daitoryu Aikijiujitsu, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Aikido, Golden Gloves boxer, and veteran of the USMC Shihan will be missed and remembered.
